Environment Week

This week, we have been exploring different environmental issues, from recycling to pollution to climate change.

Thank you to all the staff for planning some fantastic activities for the children. It was lovely to see and hear lots of discussions and learn more about how we can all help to make a change.

Today, we came together for a series of ‘Sharing Assemblies’, where classes spoke about their work and the changes they would like to see happen. The work produced was fantastic and included food waste acrostic poems, posters, fabulous art work and even bags made from old t-shirts. It was great to see the children so passionate about getting their point across and their desire to make a real difference.

A big thank you to Natalie (a Fuji Class parent who works for Trainline) for coming in to speak to our Year 6 classes about a campaign that is going live this week called ‘I came by train’, which aims to help people understand the positive environmental impact of taking a train over air and car.
