School Uniform

We want our children to feel proud to wear their uniform.

Our uniform policy is outlined below.  We expect all our children to wear a school jumper or cardigan carrying our logo, which can be purchased through our supplier - Uniform4Kids.  All other items can be purchased from any high street store or supermarket.  We also offer optional Bowes book-bags.

Our School Uniform:

  • Blue Bowes sweatshirt or cardigan - (logo required)
  • White Polo shirt - (logo optional)
  • Black trousers or black skirt
  • Black shoes or plain black trainers
  • Blue and white checked dress (summer months)
  • Black shorts (summer months)

Our Active School Uniform (worn only on PE days):

  • Blue Bowes sweatshirt or cardigan - (logo required)
  • White Polo shirt - (logo optional)
  • Plain black shorts for indoor lessons
  • Plain black tracksuit bottoms (no logos)
  • Black trainers

Year 6 children are encouraged to wear the Bowes black Year 6 uniform (sweatshirt/cardigan and polo shirt), as they play a special role in their final year at Bowes; this is optional.

Our school uniform is available to purchase at Lyons School Shop on the Hertford Road, Enfield. Parents can order via the Lyons website.

Should you require any help with school uniform, please contact the school office on 02083682552.

Please ensure you label all your child's clothes and belongings.

PLEASE...

  • For health and safety reasons, no jewellery should be worn with the exception of religious items, small stud earrings and watches (no smartwatches please). Children must remove all earrings and watches before PE and games lessons.

Uniform Swap Shop!

A MESSAGE FROM OUR RIGHTS RESPECTING AMBASSADORS

We are pleased to inform you about a project which we have collaborated on with the Senior leadership Team called UNIFORM SWAP SHOP.

The project will enable free access to uniform for all children at Bowes.

This is how it works:

  • Families bring uniform donations every Monday morning and afternoon to the Highworth Road playground. We accept washed and folded uniform items that are in good condition. They are handed over to the Swap Shop monitors who are the Rights Respecting Ambassadors (RRAs).
  • The ‘shop’ is open on the first Friday of every month when families can help themselves to uniform that has been donated.
  • There will be a donation bucket if families would like to make a contribution. Any money raised from the Swap Shop will go towards the Friends of Bowes fundraising.

Pre-loved Uniform

The Friends of Bowes often run pre-loved uniform sales during their events which take place throughout the year. This allows parents to purchase second-hand uniform.

The Friends of Bowes welcome any uniform that your child no longer requires and can be brought to the school office.
